My wife and I get about 20 TV channels. We can't afford the fancy stuff. I don't even get the History Channel or ESPN. :( Thankfully, I at least get WGN for my Cubs games. Anyways, I was channel surfing about 5 minutes ago and ran across John Hagee. Now, I don't have a Theology degree. I'm not a deacon in a Church. I'm not even in the choir, but I do know that Mr. Hagee is a dangerous man who is missing the point of God and his Word and is misleading many people.
Just had to get that out.

I don't follow him or his show but can you give some "for instances?" Would sort of help back this up.
ReplyDeleteBasically, he does the whole health and wealth gospel thing. He argues that your health and wealth are directly correlated with how well you follow God. He said that "God is limited in what he can give us by what we give Him." That's just wrong. God is limited by nothing. Plus, there are plenty of lost people who live long lives and are rich. He continued by saying that what we give to God determines the quality of our life. I agree that giving produces eternal rewards, and maybe even some emotional rewards, but there are plenty of people who give all they have for God yet are poor and feeble.
ReplyDeleteCheck out his show sometime. I only watched for 10 mins or so, and those are just the examples that stuck with me.
Gotcha Michael. After hearing that I can guarantee I am not interested in watching any part of this show. I have flipped by and seen a plethora of charts though.
